✅ TOP 5: Best Camping Hammock 2019

Are you looking for the best camping hammock? In this video we’ll break down the top camping
hammocks available whilst comparing them for price versus performance. Before we get started with our video detailing
the best camping hammock on the market, we have included links in the description for
each product mentioned, so make sure you check those out to see which one is in your budget
range. Starting off at number 1 we have the Warbonnet
Outdoors Blackbird. Users and expert reviewers can’t rave enough
about the Blackbird camping hammock. When you look at all it comes with, it’s
hard to find any fault with it really. You’ve got the mosquito hammock, breathable
nylon construction, water-repellant fabric, storage shelf, footbox, and different layer
types based on your preferred amount of insulation. In addition to being an overall durable, stable,
and supportive camping hammock, the Blackbird comes with a couple different options for
suspension, if you’re nervous about it not being secure enough. This expertly made single camping hammock
provides for a super comfortable and roomy experience, even with the extra footbox and
storage shelf (which is basically a nightstand) included. Outdoor Gear Lab named the Blackbird winner
of its Editor’s Choice two years in a row because they “felt that the Blackbird best
balanced all aspects of a superior hammock specific camping experience.” Price is the one drawback to this camping
hammock. However, if you’re looking for a hammock
that’s built tough and will keep you warm, dry, and comfortable in any environment, we
think the price tag here might just be worth it. At number 2 we have the Serac Sequoia XL Portable
Double Camping Hammock. If you’re worried about the size restrictions
with some of the other camping hammocks you’ve seen, that won’t be a concern with this
one. The Serac Sequoia XL is the biggest of the
bunch and claims to comfortably hold over 500 pounds of you, your partner, and maybe
even your dog or a child thrown in there too. Much like the Serac Classic that also appears
on this list, support, sturdiness, and durability are an excellent quality of this camping hammock. This is the first camping hammock we’ve seen
that claims to hold over 500 pounds and customers are totally sold after using it! So, if you want a true “XL” camping hammock,
this is it. Although this probably isn’t the lightest
of camping hammocks, the fact that it can hold so many people (or things) makes it a
great hammock to take along anytime you head outdoors. One customer has even been using this as a
swing, too, so it appears to have multiple uses other than just serving as a comfy place
to rest. Despite its size, this camping hammock is
very reasonably priced which seems to be a common theme among Serac’s line of hammocks. At number 3 we have the Kammok Roo Double
Camping Hammock. Customers love the Kammok Roo for a number
of reasons, though the most popular reason is its sturdiness and durability. Made with their very own LunarWave fabric,
you’re not likely to find a stronger parachute fabric around. This means support (for you and your hammock-mate),
comfort, and stability all rolled into one. This double camping hammock was built tough
using Kammok’s proprietary fabric and it’s what customers love the most about it. The Roo can hold up to 500 pounds (the most
we’ve seen so far), so it’s perfect for larger or taller campers as well as couples
who want to be close, but not uncomfortably close. It’s a little bit on the heavier side, so
you might not want to go backpacking with this. That being said, it’s a really well-made
camping hammock and we don’t see how you could go wrong with taking it into most situations
with you, especially if you want to be warm and comfortable all night. This one’s a little higher than the average
in price. You also need to consider the cost of purchasing
straps for it, too, since it doesn’t come with any. At number 4 we have the Hennessy Hammock Expedition
Asym Zip Hammock. Looking for a single camping hammock that’ll
keep you comfortable day or night? The Hennessy Hammock Expedition comes with
both a bug net and rainfly to ensure that you stay dry and itch-free while you camp
in style (and comfort). In addition to being an all-around well-made
hammock, you’ve got a super strong suspension system to ensure that you’ll never drop
to the ground or get tipped out of your hammock in the middle of the night with one wrong
move. If you’re under 6’ in height and 250 pounds
in weight, this single camping hammock will be the perfect fit for you. This is a pretty versatile hammock, so you
should be able to use this wherever and whenever you want, so long as you’re not planning
to share your sleeping space. And since it doubles as a ground lounger,
you can find even more uses for it if you come prepared with camping poles. Okay, okay… This is an expensive camping hammock, but
you’re getting (nearly) everything you need here. In addition to the hammock, there’s a bug
net, rainfly, pocket storage, suspension system with ropes, and polyester webbing straps. The only thing it doesn’t come with is a
sleeping pad. And for our final pick at number 5 we have
the Thunderbird Dream Hammock. This is not a one-size-fits all camping hammock;
meaning that, in addition to the great features the Thunderbird comes with, you can customize
everything from the size of the hammock to the type of material which it’s made with. If your specific camping condition’s needs
aren’t met with traditional hammocks, then you have to check out the Thunderbird. One of the coolest things about buying a camping
hammock from Dream Hammocks is that almost every piece of the hammock is customizable–this
includes in the fabric (and strength) of your hammock. When you order the Thunderbird, you can choose
from a variety of nylon fabrics that can hold different weight capacities. You can also order additional straps if you
want to ensure that your hammock stays firmly in place from wherever you hang it (though
no one has complained of this issue so far). Although these hammocks could hold two smaller
occupants, this is probably best used as a single. Just be sure to check the weight requirements
before deciding which type of fabric you want the hammock made with. Dream Hammocks labels this as a “four-season
hammock” and there’s good reason for it. Not only does this camping hammock come with
the overcover and underquilt, but it also has a bug net you can use. Users have also bought the separate tarp add-on
in order to increase the internal warmth when inside the hammock. That’s why the customization factor of this
is so cool. You can add and remove different layers based
on your unique situational needs! This is a bit more expensive than many of
the other single camping hammocks you might find, but remember that these are custom-made. You’re also paying for excellent customer
service and support to ensure that you get everything that you need from this purchase. So that sums up our top camping hammocks of
2019. We hope you enjoyed. If you did please leave a like on the video
