3 A WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA FAMILY.. MET A NEW NEIGHBOR.. BUT IT’S NOT WHO YOU’D EXPECT. IT WAS DEFINITELY AN “OH MY” MOMENT..WHEN THE LAKE LURE FAMILY SPOTTED A BLACK BEAR.. THAT MADE ITSELF QUITE COMFORTABLE IN THEIR BACKYARD. 3 OUR ERYN ROGERS VISITED THE FAMILY THIS EVENING.. AND SHARES THEIR EXPERIENCE.. SEEING THIS MASSIVE BEAR JUST FEET FROM THEIR BACK DOOR. 3 pkg: nat: from showing me a grizzly sight right outside..chrissy mccormack’s back window.. christina mccormack/saw bear in her backyard it freaked me out. it was wild. i’ve never seen anything like it. it was her dog wilbur.. who frequently sits right here.. that alerted them. he started barking like crazy, and i saw this huge bear in the back yard. she captured this video of the black bear.. making itsself at home on her and her husband’s picnic table. rocky mccormack/ saw bear in his backyard i thought he was going to knock it over, but no he just climbed right up and had a seat. they say.. this isn’t the first time seeing their furry friend. they caught it rummaging through their trash on sunday .. and say the bear they named yogi.. has been an annual visitor .. going back to 2015. every year for three years, about this time, end of april beginning of may. eryn rogers/[email protected] pa.co m this trail of trash leading up to the mccormack’s home..is evidence of their new neighbor.nat: he’s just licking away.. but this is the first time.. it stayed awhile.. and they got within feet of it. i seen him and he seen me about the same time, and he took off.he proved to my wife that bears can move pretty quick. which baloo their mind.. and they’re staying vigilante..which they say is a bear necessity. he seemed to be pretty docile, but in close quarters, there’s no telling what’ll do, so definitely watch out for the kids and wife. in lake lure, er, 7news. 3 THE NORTH CAROLINA WILD LIFE RESOURCES COMMISSION WARNS PEOPLE TO NEVER FEED BEARS… AND IF YOU COME CLOSE TO ONE..MAKE A LOT OF NOISE.
