THE DISTRICT PARK SUPERVISOR SAYS THE CAMPGROUND IS A FULLY BOOKED THIS LABOR DAY HOLIDAY WEEKEND. I THINK THERE WAS A LOT OF PENT-UP ANTICIPATION OF GETTING OUTDOORS AFTER THIS RAINY SPRING. WE HAVE BEEN REALLY BUSY. THE STATE PARKS HAVE BEEN GOOD . WHAT MAY BE THE END OF THE SEASON FOR MANY, SOME CAMPERS ARE NOT SLOWING DOWN. LONNIE IS COOKING UP A BIG BREAKFAST FOR HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS. HE SAYS COOKING IS ONE OF HIS FAVORITE PARTS OF CAMPING. I LIKE TO WALK ON THE TRAILS. WE HAVE A GOOD TIME. REPORTER: WHILE THE SEASON HAS BROUGHT MORE RAIN THAN HOPED- FOR, HE IS NOT LETTING IT HOLD HIM BACK. WE HAVE CANOPIES THAT WE CAN SET UP OVER THE TOP. WE USED TWO REALLY ROUGH IT WHEN THE KIDS WERE LITTLE. WE WOULD CAMP IN WATER. WE WERE ROUGHING IT. NEWTON HILLS IS NOT SAYING GOODBYE TO CAMPERS YET.
