There are signs warning about mines everywhere so that’s not a good place to camp… There’s the tunnel ‘Sveti Rok’ it’s 6 km long and I’ve passed it so often when driving on the motorway but I’ve never driven on the outside of it. These rocks look so impressive. Sabrina and Gabriel found this cool place where we can stay over night. And the best thing is that it’s not windy at all because of this wall. Hey! Their roof tent is a hardtop tent and you just wind it up. I just read it’s the Maggiolina Airlander. And everything feels very high-quality. The canvas and the seams and everything. And it doesn’t matter so much if it’s windy or not – it’s much more stable than ours. Under a minute. We stopped the time to know how long it takes us to set up our roof tent and it takes us 1 minute and 7 seconds. Good morning. There’s another Defender from Austria! Cool! He’s taking a walk with his dog and then we’ll have a chat. It’s so impressive that the rocks have been cut in perfect right angles. And not only did they take away parts that were easy to take put also parts where they had to cut three sides. We think they made that with a rope they put through the drill and then circulated it for a very long time. Anyway it’s really impressive. The herbs are smelling so strongly! You can never catch it on film. Three more Defender! A photo safari. Hello! An Austrian group. We’ve seen nine Defender so far. We wouldn’t have thought that. Sabrina and Gabriel are saying good bye because they want to drive to the Plitvicer lakes. And we found a challenge for the two Defender, but first we’ll say good bye. We found a fire lookout and the view is amazing. And the white line is the motorway leading through the mountains. Let’s take some last pictures and then we’ll say good bye to Christian as well. His Defender is so beautiful. Karin said it doesn’t have as much character as ours. But he does look really good. I like looking at it. His silver Defender is simply beautiful and is such a beast. He has a suspension lift and almost everything you could put on extra. But of course we like ours better. Just when we said good bye the other Austrian Defender came by and Christian will continue his way with him. We’re at the lake again where we stayed two nights ago because we accidentally threw the shower of Sabrina and Gabriel in the bin. But we found it and we dropped off backpackers who will stay here over night. We’re not far from home now and the short journey is almost over. We’re home now, it has been a very long day and the last two days have been so full of happenings and experiences. It was really nice to be on the road again. We’re looking forward to the next journey. I can hear and see the truck already.
