I grew up in an Air Force family. My dream was to be a pilot just like my grandfather and father were. My father, he always taught my brother and I to live with integrity and that’s like the Air Force Honor Code. I enjoyed my time as an active duty Weather Officer, but one of my major concerns when I got out of the Air Force was I would find an every man for themselves culture in the civilian community. That is something that concerned me because that was not my experience in the Air Force. It was not what I experienced learning from my grandfather and father growing up. I ended up getting a job with Booz Allen and I soon found that there was absolute synergy between the Air Force’s culture and core values and that of Booz Allen’s. This company is built on people and teams working together to serve clients. While I’m wearing a suit, I’m still helping the Air Force move forward and achieve its organizational goals. Booz Allen was just a natural landing spot for me out of the military. I’ve found my home here and I’ve never really looked back. I’m Jared Wurster, I’m an Airman in the Air Force Reserve, And I am honored to be part of the Booz Allen Hamilton team.
