Chilling out and trying traditional Italian food |Day off the Tour du Mont Blanc in Aosta Valley

Good morning! It’s Angelina and Dima here. This night was heavy raining with a thunderstorm. But we are all dry because we set up a tent in time. Starting from 7pm till 7 am it was 12 hours of straight rain. It was raining non stop and we were enclosed in our tent. We were sleeping like bears on a winter break. Now we are feeling fallen apart because you know when you sleep too much the head is not working. For today we see that the weather is still unstable. According to the forecast, now it’s sunny, the morning is fine and then in the afternoon there is a…

The most scenic campsite ever at the atlantic oceancoast!? | Camino del Norte – Day 16

Hello on the beautiful morning in Sant Vicente de la Barquera! Today is the contrasty weather with strong sunlight, without wind, so it will be very hot. Yesterday we stayed in the camping with a lot of people, surfers. It is very popular place for some reason in the surfer world. And this camping was very crowded and noisy. Probably the most people we’ve seen in the camping so far. But the location is very scenic, we see the mountains in the background. This is the Picos de Europa attraction, with lots of trails in the mountains. It should be very nice to visit but not this time. Our plan…

Wild camping is allowed on Tour du Mont Blanc in France? | Day 5 of TMB Chalets de Raja- Les Mottets

Good sunny morning from the trail de Mont Blanc! As you’ve seen yesterday we survived the storm, we survived the snow, the very steep uphills. So it was the survival day for us. Today the weather is better, clear and sunny. But we feel very tired. All our electronics are charged to day just by solar battery and power bank. Works very well. Because the power bank is fully charged by solar battery. And electronics don’t lose all the charge every day. They need only a little bit of power. So power bank doesn’t discharge at all. We are already wrapping up our things. And this was the slope we…

Wild camping struggle in Italy?! Is it even possible? | Day 7 of TMB Courmayer, Rifugio G. Bertone

Good morning from the beautiful location Val de Peny Italy! So today we are planning to continue to the bigger village Courmayer. And we think that this village is the Italian version of Chamonix Mont Blanc. And there we’ll join the official Tour de Mont Blanc trail once again that will go up the mountain from that part. And depending on the weather if the weather will be fine we’ll continue on. If not we’ll stay somewhere in the Courmayer surroundings. This is the plan for today. Let’s get on the trail! For today’s breakfast we have some cous cous, tomatoes, fresh tomatoes finally and some cheese that we bought…

We are about to quit the Tour de Mont Blanc(on the most snowy uphill)|Day 4.2 to Refuge Bonhomme

As you can see we approached the snow closer than we thought. We are going through the snow today. Now every time we see the clouds coming out we have the fear of the storm and accumulating it in something bigger. Because the first day was so extreme for us. But hopefully today is not the case. This surprisingly was going kind of flat till now with a little bit of uphill. But there’s quite a bit of snow, very slippery and dangerous to fall down. And also very wet. You can wet your shoes very easily, lots of water. The trail appeared to be more difficult than we thought…

What is the Camino for us? Is Camino de Santiago worth it? | Our final thoughts, tips and advice

Hello, Friends! In this video we want to share with you our final thoughts on Camino de Santiago del Norte that we started in Biarritz and finished in Ribadeo. And before we start we want to make a disclamer that everything that we say in this video will be solely based on our opinion and on our experience. And we don’t mean to offend anybody or anybody’s beliefs etc. First of all we didn’t undestand the main concept of Camino. That is a religious concept. And the pilgrim doesn’t equal to hiker. And that is because nowadays the Camino became so popular and so commercialized that is very easy to…

Idyllic alpine trail and the most beautiful natural ravine | Day 4.1 of TMB to Refuge La Balme

Good morning on the day 4 of our Tour de Mont Blanc! And today we don’t have a particular goal, we just want to move forward. As we already decided yesterday we are not going to follow the official stages, we’ll do our own. Depending on the weather, on how difficult the trail will be and our physical state we’ll do certain amount of kilometers. We’ll probably do 8 to 10 kms today no more. So let’s get started! My dear beloved running shoes are tearing apart as you can see at around 8 months of hiking and one Camino de Santiago. So I guess it’s normal but I hope…

We got into the worst thunderstorm of our lives! | Day 2.2 of TMB Col de Tricot -Chalets de Miages

Looks like some eatable salad growing all around. There is so much interesting flora around us. The flowers that we’ve never seen. So pretty, the mountain flowers are the best. The weather is still helping us to go uphill with the clouds, a bit of wind. It’s perfect. And we hiked till the snow today. You see the snow, it is so close. But still very warm, not cold at all. The snow is even under the feet. Such a strange feeling in summer there is snow. Couldn’t get to the uphill and it started to rain. Some cloud came out out of nowhere. Still didn’t get there, that’s a…

Hanging bridges are scary! | Day 2.1 of TMB from Houches to Col de Tricot

Hello, it’s Angelina and Dima here. It’s our second day of Tour de Mont Blanc. And the first official one because from the town Houches where we are now starts the official trail of Tour de Mont Blanc so this is the first day. Now we have a plan to get to the next village Contamines Montjoie which is in 15 kms. And we don’t really know if we can do it all today because of the mountain. We have to do the big uphill for today right from the start we are starting to ascend the mountain. And from 1000m we’ll get up to 2000m. So it’s quite a…
