Undead Assault Chronicles: Nightmare 1 life/no deaths

Overlook the wonky mod selection from me, did a white camo run just before this game BG is the natural pick for a T1-killing class, but what to pick as my second SI? As one of the other players reminds me later, CL is pretty reasonable here to make the most of what ammo we have During this pre-game period, typically people grab the starting items from around the map to get a bit of a head-start Even though the mission chain hasn’t started yet, random item drops still occur Getting an early aim assist on Spec is a very nice way to start this run That reminds me, I never got around to checking out White after unlocking it Don’t forget the classic trick of selecting Ghost first for a shiny overlay Caught a glimpse of some funky business going on over there, but better drop off my items before checking it out Seems we have a bit of a conga line going here The only decent thing to do is to join it Well, given that the mission chain still hasn’t been started, there’s no real danger just yet Ah, some reinforcements have arrived Jump in, there’s plenty of space on this train Maybe this gag is going on a bit too long now… Alright, back to work – fun’s over Here I decide to focus on grabbing all the ammo from the caches, leaving the other items for the rest of the team to loot The best thing to do would be to drop off all the excess ammo in Thalim, where we will be camping later For this run, we decided to only do missions up to but not including the bunker defence Once everyone’s in base, not even the punishment spawns from failing missions can stop us Now that I’ve dropped off the supplies, time to leg it back to the action This is a rather critical point – if someone forgets we are not doing the bunker mission and stays behind, we could have a fatality With all the equipment looted, it’s time to make our way to Thalim Looks like someone got a little separated from the main group – they better catch up quickly Looks like he should have a clear run to Thal now though Let the camping begin… Make use of breaks in the action to put up cameras, maintaining vision is key to identifying and engaging high priority targets before they can cause issues Looks like we forgot to loot some starting items – we’ll have to grab those at the start of Chapter 3 Sometimes people forget to keep vision on the east wall, where fliers or free-pathing mobs can sneak in From here, the plan is to get through the remaining missions as quickly as possible to minimise the ammo we need to hold out It would be nice to kill Rosen while he’s waiting around, unfortunately he is invulnerable until he starts moving Target eliminated dan.exe is not responding… Somehow, he managed to reconnect – good news for this run Here comes the next major hurdle: Thanatos The best way to deal with this is to get vision out far enough that we can kill Thanatos before he can get too many pulls First threat down, now for the rest of the T1 wave Gotta love it when you 2-shot Ares from full A rather hairy moment for our daring Cav Scout Fortunately, he is one speedy boy Ah, finally a flier tries to sneak in through the side. Good thing we set up vision over there This chapter shifts everyone to the bottom of the map – as long as everyone is quick about making their way back to Thal, it shouldn’t be much of an issue Looks like we managed to get everyone in before it got too hot out there The next mission could cause some issues – if we get the underground colonies, we can simply wait it out The fungal cores mission on the other hand requires someone to actually go out there… Let’s just hope we get lucky with the mission RNG Here it comes, the moment of truth… Unfortunately, we were given the fungal cores mission This could be an issue… The cyborg and I end up going out to kill the fungal cores Unfortunately the flare here is now revealing me to the zombies This could take a bit of finesse to get out in one piece There might not be much left of the team by the time I get out Took a jump injury there, but fortunately my invisibility is now working Somehow still managed to keep my record of 0 hits – let’s see how long that will last Good news is the cyborg is going to town on those further cores Looks like all I need to do is kill the close one now But first to dodge some fliers before they blow my cover Gotta be honest, the ‘borg takes most of the credit for finishing this mission But we both still have to get back into base before we can celebrate Looks pretty clear, good thing there was a break in the spawns Alright, back to sniping T1’s Only one hurdle remains – the T1 onslaught in the final mission Once again, keeping up vision is key to be able to react to the bigger threats as they come And so it begins… Here comes our first customer And that’s the classic Specter two-shot-kill right there Now where did that muscle relaxant go… Whew, I think that was the worst of the horde already Now to mop up the mortarions And we’ve done it, good work team
